Default 18MZ RST control problem

I am having a problem with the one end point on the RST control. I use this control for flaps. Lately I have been noticing that when I select flaps up (which is when I move RST fully forward) that the flaps moves a little bit down again after first going fully up. When I redo the movement it does the same again. If I move RST slightly back, then the flaps go to fully up. Initially I thought it was only a problem on the one model, BUT I have now discovered that it is the same on all my models where I have flaps. I also initially thought that perhaps I had the flap endpoint set too far and that the servo was binding, BUT it even does it on installations where there is no physical stop to the flap travel.

So I have concluded that I have a problem with the actual RST control unit itself. What can I do about this? Can I change the actual mechanical end position of the unit? Should I glue something on to the Tx case to stop the RST control physically? Can I swap the RST and LST units (as I almost never use LST FOR anything), provided they are the same?

Your suggestions will be appreciated.

My first instinct is that the pot is getting worn. Not sure what you can do yourself. If you have a service center I wold send it to them.

Bill,

I think your instinct is right. Do you know if the LST and RST units are interchangeable, or are they left and right mirror units?

Cheers,

I don't know for certain, but I'm thinking each side is unique based on what I recall from having mine opened to change stick springs.
