Default Transferring data on my 12z to my 18 mz

Hi,
Not sure this has been asked before but my search said that you copy all your plane and heli data on your 12z into the SD card and then slot this SD card into the 18mz. Not sure if that simple? Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks.

I know that the files from my 14MZ copied directly into the 18MZ. 12Z and 14MZ were very similar. I can't tell you for certain that the 12Z will copy directly into the 18MZ or not.

Thanks Bill. You're always the first one to the rescue. When you said copy, am i to understand that it's copied from the sd card and then transfer this card to the 18mz?
Regards.

You have to take the models off the 12Z onto the CF card.
Then copy those onto a computer
Then on to an SD card which you put the 18MZ.

12Z/CF->computer->18MZ/18MZ

Worse case it does not work. It won't mess anything up.

There is a utility to go from the 18MZ to the 18SZ, which came out the day AFTER I finished manually copying my last model onto the 18SZ

Thanks once again Bill. Problem is where to find CF card which i believe should not exceed 2GB?. I'll try to sort it out.
regards.

Amazon is your best bet. And for the 18MZ you do not need anything larger than 16GB and stay away from the Ultra High Speed cards. A cheap slow 4GB will work fine.
