Default 14mz update has shift select and adds extra channel to old 9channel receivers.

The latest 14mz update has shift select and adds extra tenth channel to old 9channel receivers.
Just wanted to shout this out as it is a major upgrade, also how do I get my 9 channel receivers updated and how much will it be. I can do it myself but my eyes aint what they used to be.
Good Luck
Paul

The Futaba R149DP receiver can be updated to 10 channels for a US$50.00 flat rate. You do lose the DSC capability, though, because that's the location that has to be used for the 10th channe.

Does the 12 Z have this feature?

The 12Z does not.

The update really is a good one. I tried the negative shift with a jr receiver and it worked straight away. I am all Futaba but it could get some more adopters who have a lot invested in other radios.
The price for the 149 is good but what about the r319dps, I just changed a bunch of my 149's for the 319, can it be updated too as the 10th channel is what I need for ignition switch.
Thanks anyway
Paul

Does any one knows if the 12 z will have the selectable shift upgrade?
