g-3 recievers
Is futaba going to swap out the old g3 for the new ones or are the people that bought early just going to be left hanging?
there must be something wrong with the one I have if they have already updated with a new one. I don't currently fly my g3 because iI don't trust It in my 2m aircraft. Love my 14mz though!

RE: g-3 recievers
Hi Gary,
As of March 21, 2007 Futaba has released a new transmitter software update, which is applicable to the 12Z, 14MZ and FX-40 transmitters.
One of the advantages of this update is to allow you to select between two modes of communication for your G3 receiver. If you are utilizing the R5014DPS receiver, you should select Mode A. In order to take advantage of the new Mode B refinement, Futaba has released a R5114DPS receiver, which offers the capability of operating in either Mode A (standard Mode) or Mode B (new Mode).
If you will be piloting a model, which generates a great deal of RF interference, or if you fly in a location for which interference is a possibility, we suggest that you select Mode B when using the R5114DPS. This will reduce the possibility of interference affecting your model's performance. While the response rate is still much faster than most current systems, this will reduce the servo response speed slightly.
If you would like to have your current R5014DPS upgraded to the newer version, this service can be done by the Futaba Service Center. The upgrade will consist of replacement of the receiver’s PCB boards, along with a check up. The fee for this service to your receiver is $115.99 including return postage.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support team at 217-398-8970 opt 2, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
Sincerely,

RE: g-3 recievers
Gary,
Just out of curiousity, why don't you trust your current G3?
In my area we have about 10 different giant scale gas airplanes, a jet, and a few helicopters using them with outstanding results. I've personally been flying them since they came out in three different 40% planes.
