Charging a 12FG
Checked my manual and it doesn't say anything about it.
Can I use a field fast charger into the charge port to charge the tx or do i need to remove the battery each time?

Don't worry. Found a suitable plug today and tried it and you can.
BTW - I have owned a 7UAPS, an 8UAP, a 9C, a 9CS and now the 12FG. Why use the same style charge plug as all the others but a smaller size on the 12?? Surely keeping it the same would have been better, now I have to make up a short adapter lead which even though I'm making up a couple, I'll eventually leave at home one day.
