5114DPS Recommended Range Check Procedure
Hi there,
I was wondering what is the recommended range check procedure. Right now I am just running the engine and walking in a circle around the airplane at greater than 100ft. Is this sufficient, or is there something else I should be doing? I think i had some lock outs last time i flew, so I want to be 100% sure it wasn't the case. Thanks!
Adam

RE: 5114DPS Recommended Range Check Procedure
Hi Adam,
100 feet of range on the ground with the transmitter antenna collapsed to its lowest, thickest section is what would be considered normal. As each transmitter varies, you may want to do a few checks to try to get an average range for your specific radio.
