Default Error in the 10C Manual

Hey Bax,

Please note the following or tell me I am reading this incorrectly.

On page 38, right-hand side of page, in the table labeled "Logic Combination Table", should the third row down read:
sw1 - on
sw2 - off
Logic (And) - ON
Logic -(Or) - Off

Presently it shows row 2 and 3 the same logic, hence no ability to have a "AND" logic function ONLY.

Don

P.S. Please look at my other post ("10C Programming Question and Plane vs. Heli") and respond, if you would please... thanks in advance.

Please check our 10C manual page again, there is a note that this is a "preliminary manual", final proofing has been done, but corrections are still needing to be made.

We had so many calls for this manual to be posted, that we tried to get what we could online for our customers satisfaction.

The final corrected version will be posted as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,

Default RE: Error in the 10C Manual

I am awaiting the arrival of my pre-ordered 10c. I appreciate the posting of the "preliminary" manual, I have already absorbed the whole document.

I don't think the error described was put forth in a critical manner, rather as an attempt to help point out revisions.

Does Futaba want the community to point these types of things out or shall we just let the Futaba documentation team do their thing? (If it was me, I'd want any input I could get - but that's me)

Congratulations on the new 10c, it's gonna beat up the competition in this price range.

Cheers,

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

While we appreciate the help, we have had a team go through the final version proofing errors, the corrected version should be coming soon.

Thank you, Krysta

Hiya !

Yes, Diviatix is absolutely correct.. it was entered into this forum to be of assistance only. I am an electrical engineer, with a computer science advanced degree as well, and I only meant to be of service, as that is my nature. I truly appreciate diviatix's response in adding how he read the post.

I can only hope I can be of further assistance if it all possible in the future, count on me to help w/o asking.

I too am truly looking forward to this great radio from Futaba, and also have my order in.

Sincerely,

- Don

Default RE: Error in the 10C Manual

Bax, Am I not responding to my own entry (actually authoring of) this thread?

I did NOT mean it to belittle the original manual or the reason(s) it was put forth. It was only meant to describe, actually, that's wrong, not describe, but ASK if I was correct in my interpretation of the manual. I still await an answer to my original question, btw... Is the logic correct, as it reads, or should it be changed, as I point out at the start of this post?

And, if we really want to bust chops here, when I downloaded the manual, there wasn't a cover page explaining that the manual has errors. It was put forth as "The Manual". So, please, do not hit me up beside the head for trying to be of help. I never, up until this reply post, have written in a belittling or wrongful manner.

Ty.

(and don't understand me wrong, I am not a gay)
Hehehee!
Apart from it meaning a reference to bum-bandits, I remember when gay used to mean happy, jolly.

That Krysta lady, she's got class - knows how to deal with the minions without being condescending... always ready to give an answer without sounding grumpy.

If you got your ears on, good lady, what you doing tonight? Fancy a date? I'l treat you to dinner by way of a thanks for all your work here.

Krysta,

Do I see that you edited "OUT" a line in your original reply to my original post (above). I believe you said something to the effect that "your people" we be making the corrections and a bit of a "no help needed" type reply. If you look at "deviatix" reply, his third line addresses the point you made referring to "your people are doing the job and we need not be concerned or offer help" (to that bend, at least).

You have edited your response, and took the "edit flag" off the post and it speaks volumes about this forum, Futaba, and how you treat customers (or potential ones in my case).

I find it appalling that this (the editing and hiding of the "edit flag) has been done. I must truly rethink my position on the purchase of a 10C or any Futaba product. Man, I did not start this stuff, and am so unhappy this has evolved in such manner. I was truly, truly excited about getting another Futaba after 20 odd years since my last Futaba radio, and now coming back into this great hobby of R/C, and I have hit a road bump. I am disappointed that I have to copy these posts of this forum into a MS Word document so that I make sure I can back up my statements.

Please address me if you wish, personally, by emailing me at [email protected]. I await your response. I do, however, believe this should be addressed here, out in the open so we can put it to rest with the Futaba community knowing Futaba's position.

Look, I DO NOT want to be writing this crap (as far as I am concerned), but EVERY time I had made a statement, a reply has been in a negative, condescending tone. I am an adult and expect to be treated as such. Now please, I am done with this, but PLEASE, make amends on some front would you?

ty.

fihsingships

Don,

I have no clue what you are talking about, I did nothing of the sort, there is no "edit" on my answer to you.

This is totally UNTRUE and I would NEVER say such a thing:

"your people" we be making the corrections and a bit of a "no help needed" type reply. If you look at "deviatix" reply, his third line addresses the point you made referring to "your people are doing the job and we need not be concerned or offer help" (to that bend, at least). "

Please refrain from this type of post.

You asked a question, I offered help. I did no editing of any post and do not appreciate your comments.

I consider this now another locked posting to keep this type of thing from detracting from the help we offer to customers who do have questions.

Pete_K, Thanks :-))
