Linking GYA351 to 14SG
I am trying to set up my Phantom Jet with a Futaba GY-351 gyro on ailerons to my 14 SG tansmitter. I have mounted the gyro flat on it's back and perpendicular to the aileron axis. The RX is a R 6014HS and I've plugged the gain into CH12 which is operated via switch SG. What else do I have to do to get the gyro to respond correctly as it just seems to be not responding in normal mode.

All is set up as per the manual, the two aileron channels plug into the gyro leads then they go into the RX. The other lead goes into a spare channel, in this case 12, to control it by a switch. I know the gyro works because if I remove the gain lead from ch12 and just have the aileron inputs in ch1 and ch6 the gyro responds to movement. I'ts when it's plugged back in using ch 12 that it doesn't seem to work. I've set end points as per the instructions but the instructions I've got are for 15 year old tx's not up to date ones.
As usual Futaba instructions are very poor, they assume a lot.

You may try expanding the endpoints. That could be causing difficulties. The system defaults should work.
The gyro came out around 2001, so it's not surprising that the instructions don't have modern systems listed. It's also been discontinued for quite a while. The GYA441 is the current dual servo aircraft gyro.
