Default 12FG model transfer

I just took advantage of the great price on the 12FG and purchased a second unit to be used as a backup. I cannot find how to transfer models from one to another. Also, can you explain why such a drastic price reduction. Hopefully it's not because a new version 12FG is in the works.
Regards Dean

To move models from one 12Fg to another, you use a memory card. Copy models on one transmitter to the card, move the card to the second transmitter and copy models from the card to the transmitter....or just fly with the model on the card.

The prices Tower had were a special sale they decided to do. There is no planned replacement for the 12FG. If it needs an update, you just download the new software. The latest version can be found at:

I have seen a couple of posts talking about huge proce reductions on the FG. What was the price reduced to, and what price was it reduced from?

The first thing I did was swap the card but I must be missing something as there was no transfer.

I picked one up from Tower. It was $799 plus a $40 rebate and a free futaba big boy folding field chair. I think the chair is the nicest part of the deal! All in 2.4Ghz (even the chair ;-p) with the 6014 rx.

The sale ended a few weeks back. It was like one week only and then the price went back up to $999 till the end of this sale. I didn't have the money but at that price, I started selling off other things to pay for it.
