12FG: different servo speed in each direction ?
Just treated myself to a 12FG 2.4GHz FASST system.
I'd like to implement different servo speed in each direction to achieve slow flaps down, fast flaps up.
The manual on page 61 "Servo Speed Setting" suggests not.
Is this possible, maybe by another method ?
Regards,
Julian.

If you set it up using the mixers in the OFFSET mode, you can have different speed for each mixer.....
Set mixer 1 for the flaps to go down at speed 1
Then set mixer 2 for the flaps to go up at speed 2
The OFFSET mix allows you to set a preset position of the channel when activated.
So mix 1 would be with a value to send the flaps to their required DOWN position and mix 2 would be for the UP position.

RE: 12FG: different servo speed in each direction ?
In the screen you're asking about, you cannot have different speeds, just one speed for both directions. However, in the second screen of the AFR section in the Model Menu, you'll have a speed section with "IN" and "OUT". "IN" will set the speed in one direction, "OUT" will set the speed in the other direction. Keep it set to "LINEAR". If you play with it a bit, you'll see how to set it up...it's quite easy. If you want the setting to be in effect for only certain conditions, you'll have to set the switch to activate that condition, set the AFR to "SINGLE", and then set the speed. You'd do that for conditions with different speed settings.

Thank you Bax !
I tried what you suggested, works a treat.
I will experiment so that flap -> elevator compensation mix will follow the same servo direction speed rate.
