programming problem with 8U Super
I have been using Don Edberg's book to program my 8U Super for my open class bird and all was going well (very well written) until I came to the section on putting variable camber on my Airbrake stick. For some reason when I select Channel 6 as the slave the LINK option disappears and is replaced with TRIM. Without LINK activated the mix will only drop the one flap with the Airbrake stick. Is this a defect with my radio or am I missing something? I really want to get this option going because I want to have my launch preset controlled by the left stick and this seems like the only way to do that, not to mention that I would also like to have another mix with tamer throws for actual variable camber.
P.S. I've tried putting this mix on various PMIXs from 1-4 and they all do the same thing. When Ch6 is the slave LINK is replaced with TRIM.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

You'll have to check to see what other mixes you have involved. It's possible that the LINK function in this case will cause one or more of the other mixes to have a problem.
Since only one flap drops when you try to adjust the camber of the wing, you've got. It sounds like you're trying to set up a 4-servo wing, and don't have the flaps completely mixed in with the ailerons.
Use the instruction manual's setup first. Pages 54 and following go through the setup of a model with two aileron servos and two flap servos, and you set up ailerons, flaps, butterfly, aileron differential, aileron/flap mixing, flap/aileron mixing, and variable camber for launch and speed, in addition to regular flight.
