RE: receiver range
The R6106HF is a Park Flyer receiver for use with indoor aiplanes and helis. It is not recommended to try to use this with standard range aircraft.

RE: receiver range
FYI.
I just called Futaba techincal support and was told by a Futaba tech that the R6106HF receiver is good out to 1500' and would work fine for my 60 size nitro airplanes flying outdoors.
Did I get this all wrong or am I understanding what he told me to be correct?
Mike

RE: receiver range
I am sorry that you received the incorrect information. The rep may have misunderstood what receiver you were asking about.
This receiver would not be recommended for long range, it is a Park Flyer receiver.

RE: receiver range
Hi Krysta.
OK, so you are telling me that the R6106HF receiver is a park flyer receiver. Can you please tell me what distance that translates too? I was thinking of using one of these receivers for a sailplane that might fly out to 500 feet away from me.
I was very clear with the Futaba tech about which receiver I was planning to use (R6106HF) and again, he stated it would be good out to 1500'.
So, if this receiver is not the one for my application, then which receiver would you recommend?
Thanks, Mike

RE: receiver range
Hi Krysta,
Per Robbe/Futaba, the R6106HF and R6106HFC has a range of approx. 1000 meters (that's half a mile), I range tested the HFC to more than half a mile with no problems.
http://data.robbe-online.net/robbe_p...22_1-F0999.pdf
This reminds me of the R6004FF that they (Robbe) claim to have a range of 300 meters (1000 feet) but Tower Hobbies have it for 91 meters (300 feet), that I also range tested to 1000 feet with no problems.
I wonder if it an issue here with the transalation between feet and meters?
Thanks,
Doug.

RE: receiver range
Hi Bax.
I just did a range test with two Futaba receivers brand new out of the box, the R6106HF and the R6014HS. Both of them stopped receiving signal at the exact same distance!
I do not see any kind of range difference between these two receivers at all!!!
Thanks, Mike

RE: receiver range
As always, you are the one risking your model. We'd still not risk trying to fly "full range" with the R6106HF receiver. We can only go by what we have been told by Futaba. If you use the park flyer receiver in a large aircraft and have range difficulties, we cannot be held responsible.
You want to use it for a purpose that it has not been intended for.

RE: receiver range
Good morning Bax.
I understand that and take full responsibility for the use of the R6106 receiver. I was just stating my testing results regarding the two receivers to see what you thought about that. I am aware that if Futaba states the receiver is a "Park Flyer" receiver then use it as one.
If I want to use a 6 channel 2.4 receiver for the large aircraft, which model from Futaba would you recommend?
Thanks,
Mike
