Default 14MZ & 9 WCII compatibility

Baxter,

I have a 9 WCII synthesized & a 14 MZ Tx. Can I use the 14 MZ as a master Tx & the 9 WCII as a slave Tx for training/ buddy box purpose? If in the affirmative, do I:-

1) Need a different trainer cord than the one I have been using between my two 9Zs

2) Can I leave the synthesized module plug into the WCII, or do I need a channel designated 72 mHz module. For example, a channel 56 module

Another subject, if I plan to use my two 9Z Tx for buddy box - both have synthesized module, and I will be using a R309 DPS synthesized rx on the plane. Again, can I:-

1) Use the same two synthesized Tx module

Thanks for reply.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

1. The trainer cord for your two 9Z's will not work as they are the round DIN type connetors. You will need a cord with a Micro connector for the 14MZ. You can go with FUTM4420 CORD MICRO/ROUND PLG.

2. You do not need a module at all if you are using the 9Z as the Student transmitter. The only time you would need one would be if the 9Z is the Teacher, and then it will not matter if it is a channeled module or a synthesized module.

And if you are also asking if your two Synthesized modules will work with the one R309DPS, yes, they will both work fine with it.

Sincerely,
