TRAINER CORDS FOR 8FG AND 12FG
For anyone not aware, these "FG" radios require a special voltage interfacing cable FUTM4405 because they run on 7.2V niMh not 9.6V. It is explained in the 8FG manual on page 42 however I have a question. The manual says "T6X, T7U, T8U, and T9Z are not applicable". I take this to mean "Will not work and there is no cable to make it work". There are many many other older Futaba radios typically donated to clubs for Buddy Boxes. We had two students show up with the 8FG and of course, no student has fully read his manual. I am going to assume for now, if it has a round connector it will work as BB to an 8FG unless it is T6X, T7U, T8U, and T9Z . Unfortunately we just had two T6XA donated.
