the total width of Syssa 60CC may over 254mm(about 10 inch). most 50CC class plane need open hole on the cowl for ignition cap .

Hi Tomy. I see you are still alive. I thought you may have died as you do not reply to my emails. Where are the missing parts you promised to send me. The supposed tracking number you sent me does not exist. Where is your dealer support. No wonder everyone is getting out of MT engines. Now i have 4 engines that need the parts that were missing and i cannot do anything with them. USELESS. It looks like you are a liar as well. How about being honest. You said you had moved your factory and that was why you had not sent the parts. That took you 6 weeks ?????? I don't think so. I can sell your engines for you but i need support. Or at least replies to my emails.

Default RE: MT Engines

This appears to be primarily a thread for dealers and engine experts from around the world to communicate publicly with the designer/manufacturer of MT engines so I've avoided posting here until now.
Today I'm a little worried. I was preparing to place an order with MT engines just to have spare parts on hand when I noticed that some items including reed valves, bearing sets, ignition sensor, piston & ring assemblies and the WT805 carb have suddenly disappeared from their web site's parts page. Also, the MT-35 engine itself is no longer listed there. In fact, the only engine that they show is the MT-80. Is this a harbinger of the demise of the MT engine company or is it simply a blunder by the web page editor?

Of course isn't that the way of things... and I need a set of reed valves and haven't even run my MT 57 yet. (Not seated from the factory.) Serial Numbered even ..... 821708 not that it matters.

So suppose will have to visit the scooter repair shops otherwise it is a lost cause for this bran new MT 57 and or will maybe sell for parts.

Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda bought the DA then or now the DA 60 !

MTUSA may still have some reeds. I bought some MT35 reeds from them a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if the 35 reeds will fit the 57. Ask Jack and if they fit and Jack hasn't any left i could sell you a set

Like as not a set of DA 50 or 3w-55 reeds would fit. What's used in many Chinese engines is often a copy of something used in another engine brand. Perhaps DLE reed would work as well. If that doesn't work, go to the Mcmaster-Carr website and peruse their composite materials for something that has the same thickness and cut your own.

Thanks Bob and TOM !

Will give MTEnginesUSA a shout tomorrow and get out my catalog for the composites.

Kind of like the old days with the FirstTwin Tartans and the Supers.... heheh they used to sound like a sick goose when a reed went bad on them.

I forgot to say that if you have information contrary to this then please share it with us. Jack from MTUSA has also been burned by Tomy and can no longer contact him.

Bob,

I don't think Tomy has gone incognito. Remember, RC engines are a very small part of his business. Tomy comes and goes on this site and has done for a long time.

Hi. According to his last email he is no longer manufacturing. Unless i have missed something that means he is out of the model engine business. Maybe he is just concentrating on his other businesses. The MT35 was basically a good engine and i was sorry to hear it will no longer be available. When the last of my stock is sold i won't be able to stock them again which is a pity.

its hard to do buisness with somone that just comes and goes, and not be reliable, in supplying all thats required, and then just never replies leaving all wondering, reading this forum,, ya have to wonder, would u want this type of buisness dealings models or not,, its respect that lacking, in the deals you make and take money for, and never fulfill the things that have been paid for.

Not me.

I would wait for Jody to test them and buy only thru Valley View.

If Tomy invested the money in a die he could have the cases pressure cast like DLE or maybe even have the engines producted by DLE.
