DLE111 Carb Question?
Hi All,
Quick question and hopefully a quick answer! Not a complete gas NOOB but it's my first twin. Bolted my new DLE111 to my 35% Airwild Composite Edge 540 and got to the part where I hook up the fuel line. Noticed the black "nipple" where I assume the fuel line connects, but also noticed a brass nipple towards the front of the carb? Any idea if this should be connected to anything? Manual is useless for anything other than carb settings...
Thanks for you help and someone throw me a bone!

That will be the reference pressure connection for the fuel pressure regulator.
I connect this with a tube which has the same direction and nearly same location of the airinlet of a carb. See little brass tube.
As example a regulator without a pump but principle is the same.

Hey, That seems familiar. You'll get bumped for showing a glow engine in tha gas forum!
Yes I agree. It is the fuel reference pressure line. This is the pressure that the fuel jets "see"

When I read your comment I think you are not yet so experienced to know the facts, at least I would be careful writing these things if I were you!

RE: DLE111 Carb Question?
Thanks guys for the input, see below:
Taildragger,
Mine's NIB as well but finish leaves a little to be desired. They could have tried to blend the seams rather than just glue the two halfes together and call it good! From 5 ft it's not noticable but I know it's there. I've heard mixed revies as well but for the price I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Should be airborne by next weekend if the wife grants me time in the mancave...
Oilsands,
Thanks for the heads up, I just left it and fired her up. Took little extra tuning but she's breathing fire now!! Will keep an eye out for any changes in flight though.
T.O.M.
Never flown a brick before, but I'm looking forward to the challenge...
