you know the ol saying.....if it looks too good to be true?

there are Camera shops who operate like this place and more often than not, the customer feedback speaks for itself.
i'd stay with a reputable dealer.

join Towers saver club and get the DLE engines for up to 60 off the regular price............that and you know they will take care of you.

or Valley ViewRC who stand behind the engines

Just don't run it with a gas/snake oil blend and it should be fine!

you know if you can, and don't mind working on the engines your self you can buy parts most anywhere today here in the US.
myself i would like to go real cheap and try one of those 179.00 RCG 50's.now it looks like they stop making the 50 and are only selling the 55 in it's place.

I have bought from VH many times in the past, never had any problems with them. I even had a ignition unit replaced with them at one time and had no problem at all.

I placed many orders from Value Hobby and received each of the orders in a very timely manner (always in less than a week). They also advertise that engine warranty service and repairs are performed in IL. At least, the last time I looked, IL is still part of the USA. All I can say is my transactions from value hobby have been positive.

That same statement is posted with all their engine ads.

I would like to hear who is actually performing this and some user reports about some people who have experienced their warranty repair?

There's a guy at the flying field that has been buying batteries there and he is pleased with the delivery.

Anybody can get them, They just pay a little more for them from another dealer in China, Or they have a contact in China that gets them for them.

Just go here and put in a order for 12-16 of them and see what you can buy them for.
http://www.sdshobby.com/index.php

You will have to take care of your own warranty problems should they come up.

I have seen at least 20 people selling DLE engines here in the US that are not on the dealer list, Just go to Ebay and you will see a lot of them.

But if you buy and have problems you might be on your own to get it fixed.

Tower has them alright....but if you do not buy from Jody....you are missing out on top notch service. Also go to his web-site....most likely you will need the items for your 55 that are the right ones. Get them all in one order!!! In the long run its best to get the right items....it will save you $$$$ Capt,n

It's kind of like Hobbyking. Looks like DLE tries to play it both ways so they supply engines to their "authorized" dealers and at the same time also supply to deep discount dealers. Last I checked, HK has DLE engines too and they are not on the dealer list. I don't know whether ignition counts as a warranty repair, but I have replaced ignition with VH. I do agree you get what you paid for, and a local guy who charge the full price would give you better service. But there is no local guy where I live, and I don't mind replacing parts myself when I have a problem. You can buy DLE parts from at least 5 different vendors online.

Hi Tim,
It states right on his site (quote Warranty service and repair work handled here in Illinois, USA.) so seeing that, and the fact that i made 2 orders from him in the last month for batterys and small parts, i got one order in two days another in 3. Packing was really good, and the charge to my c.c. was fine. I would say he is a stand up guy with fast shipping and nice pricing.
As far as buying a motor, Vally View is a good place to buy, if something was to happen there would be no worries, Jody is the man. he has took time in his busy day to give me alot of free info, Jody is a asset in the rc community. So all i can say is if you go with Value Hobby you will get your DLE shipped to you fast with no problems, after that if you need help or service, i really do not know.
Tony
