Default Turnigy 26 gasser

I just got a Turnigy 26 side carb engine that is new with a plane. I looked at the forum but only seen one old reply and that guy never really got to fly the plane to see how the motor worked. Has anyone else used this motor to compare it with the G-23 or G-26 to see how it performs. Would like to get some imput before bolting it in the plane.

I would like to see if anyone has had one and used it in real time. I could put it on a stand but that will not tell me how it will perform in a plane flying doing manuvers. Help me out guys

It's better suited to holding bait to the bottom of a river while waiting for a large fish to eat it than flying a model aircraft, IMO.

Large fish eat gas engines? I've been using stink bait. No wonder I didn't catch anything.

You asked for "imput" from those that have experience with the engine in comparison the two Zenoah models you referenced. Well I have that experience and I gave you my "imput", it never made it on a plane because it worked better as a fishing weight. The G-26 will hold the bait down in faster moving water because it's little heavier but it works much better as an aircraft engine.

The T-26 is a POS, the G-26 is the gold standard by which all others are compared and copied. There are a couple that have more power but none will out live it

This is what I would do. Some times you have to develop your own answers. You can find out a lot about the engine on the test stand.

You can find out how easy it is to start
What props to use
The fuel consumption
The durability
The noise it makes
How easy it is to tune

Then you can tell us?

Anyone that knows me or follows my posts will tell you I don't feather my bed in the forums. I give true, accurate, and honest advice and help if I can, when I feel like it.

I'm sorry if my truthful response hurt but it was meant to be taken in light and with levity.

I have the G-23 & G-26 already on planes and I got the Turnigy ( new) with a plane FOR FREE and was just asking if anyone had experiance with it. Why in the h%&# couldn't someone just say "NO" I have not had one or say "yes" but it did not perform as good as the G-26"s so don't use it cause you will be dispointed. If you didn't have one how can you say how good or bad it is or just because your idiot friend had one your taking his opinion, and don't give me ****ty answers like "USE IT FOR FISH BAIT WEIGHT"

I do have the experience you asked for, I gave you the "imput" you requested. Relax, it's not a personal assessment, it's about the engines.

"USE IT FOR FISH BAIT WEIGHT"  is synonymous with "don't use it cause you will be dispointed."
