Default GP 38% extra 330s on a DLE111?

Just ordered my 38% 330s from GP. Need some help. This is my first gaint scale sport plane. She's a fat girl at 34 pounds. It calls for a 120-150 motor. This is a fun fly plane for me. I'm not going to do anything crazy with it. This isa learner plane for me in the world of sport flying. With that said when it comes to the motor I dont have that mine is bigger than yours issue. I just need something that works. I have DLE motors in all my gaint scale birds but this is a new Beast. DLE makes a 111 and a 170 andI want to stay with DLE I dont want to spend money for a name and I know that they work! If i can put the big girl on a diet how much do you think I can take off and how? The DLE111 has 11.2 hp @ 7500 rpm and comes in at 6.3 pounds turns a 27 or 28x10 prop. The 170 has 17.5 hp @ 9000 rpm and is 9.06 pounds. How much of that 17.5 hp would be used to hall the extra 3 pound around. And do you think I would have to put weight in the tail making that 17.5 hp even less. I cant find a hp rating for the DA 120 this would help me alot. The DA 150 is8 pounds without mufflersand 16.5 hp and this is a overkill from what Ihave read on the RCU. What do you think.
P.S. any build tips would help!!

Personally I feel it will be too small. A DA150 works great in it. If you want to stay with DLE get a DLE170.

I agree with Super08. There are a lot of really good deals on used DA 150's since DA came out with the 170.

I had a 3w 170cs in mine, was just right. Go with the DLE 170.

The 3w 170 was about an ounce or two at most heavier than a DA 150. The plane was built stock except modifying it to put the rudder servos in the tail for balance. Also, I believe changing out the wing tube for a carbon fiber tube saved well over a pound right there. RTF weight less fuel was right at 35lbs. There are a few other areas you could work on to save some weight. The stock main gear is nice, but heavy. I also used a 40oz fuel tank instead of a 50 and was still more than plenty. A water bottle tank would save even more. I see some great deals in the swap shop for some 3W 150cs engines lately, they are quite a bit lighter than the other 150s out there and would be a great match for the plane.
