If you choose other brand, please feel free to comment on what brand and why.

RE: What brand 2 cycle oil are you using
I've been using Citgo for 20 years. Down to my last bottle and cant find it anywhere. I use to stop at a store up in Delaware when I'd go to Warbirds Over Delaware, but they stopped carrying it and I cant find it anywhere. I think Citgo stopped producing it, so now I'm screwed. By middle of next Spring I will have to put my faith in another brand. I dont use plastic oil, never have, so I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Citgo was awesome oil, ashless and I never fowled a plug. I will truely miss it.

i've used and still use only Golden Spectrum 2c mix in all my gas planes. Depending on engine, break in mixture is between 32 to 1 ,or 40 to 1, After break in i usually run all my engines at 50 to 1 mixtures. Have never had a fouling problem, and burns clean.

I was wondering if anyone else is using Lucas Oil semisynthetic? I tried it out in my weedeater and it ran so much better than the name brand dino oil I had been using. Using it now in my G62 @32-1.

I won't use any petroleum products from Venezuela (Citgo). I can't stand the despot in charge of the place, so I refuse to line his pockets with my money.
Truthfully, I no longer buy the expensive gas two-strokes, since every one of the sellers have gone out of business. Now I just buy Chinese engines and when they break, I'll either find parts for them or just toss them and buy new Chinese toss aways. The old days of expensive US made (right) two-stroke gassers are gone as far as I'm concerned. As far as I'm concerned, there is no point in buying expensive oil, but instead just the minimum expense oil that meets the manufacturer's (engine) recommended specs - if any.

HI
LAWN BOYMIX IS 32 TO 1- ( one can to two gallons of gasoline available at LOWES AND HOME DEPOT )
YOU NEED TO FOLLOW the directions on the bottle for the proper oil mixture for ANY given oil
do not use a syn oil for the break in ( my opinion )-after the engine is broken in and the internal parts are seated you can go to a syn oil to keep wear down
THIS IS the oil mixture my RC trainner was using on his gasoline stuff ( zenoah ) 20 years ago-his engines ran flawless he was flying for 30 years prior to that when i first met him -he was the top test pilot and and head of the controllers ( safety officers ) he was JOHN WILGOOSE and i owe my success in this hobby for 20 years to him as do many other pilots from CEDAR CREEK in SEAFORD LONG ISLAND NEW YORK I NEVER SAW HIM REFUSE A PERSON WHO ASKED HIM TO FLY THERE PLANE-REST IN PEACE JOHN- he flew everyones everything when it comes to RC airplanes-i will always be willing to help others as much as i can in the hobby for all that man did for me he did what he did just , for the passion he had for this hobby ENJOY BEST REGARDS TONY
