Default what degree shouild i set up

i am setting up a electronic egnition on a homelight 43cc chainsaw motor. should it be set at top dead center for firing or a little advanced. if so how much????

28 degrees before top dead center

If you don't have a auto advance ignition this will snap your fingers on starting

Depends on the ignition. I had a Falkon that was "0".

If it ends up a fixed timing point you might want to consider about 15* btdc, splitting both sides of what's needed for starting and running.
