DLE 30 prop
Which prop is best for the DLE 30, Xoar or Vess, or in general terms which one do people consider to be the best performer.

I use a MA 18x10 wood on mine in a MX2 and can not fault it. I have tried others from Turnigy, Master Airscrew, Bolly Carbon, JXF wood. The MA wood seams to be the best for RPM and thrust.

RE: DLE 30 prop
I have two DLE 30's. I've tried many differant props also. I keep coming back to the Menz 18x8 for best rpms & thrust. I have a way of actually checking the pull thrust accurately.
Just my two cents worth.....

RE: DLE 30 prop
Xoar is a "sport" prop that tends a load up the motor a bit more than Vess in general. I've been using more Vess props lately for 3D flying. The "A" pitch is about 8-9, which is what I use for 3D. If you want to rev up the motor in a warbird application where is speed is the goal, try the apc 15.75x13 3-blade prop. The motor will be screaming at 7800 with that prop and I was going well over 100mph in a CMP Hellcat 72" ws warbird. I'm not a fan of MA in general. They flex too much. You can see it standing on the side and rev up the motor. My 2 cents.

Hi well I done some testing on this issue , and after using a xoar 18x8 tested a graupner gsonic 18x8 on my goldwings mx2 and found a huge change, prop was balanced from factory, and the tracking is perfect not distorsion at all under load, rpm 7700 xoar 8500 with the gsonic, in the air incredible reponse and power, going crazy from prop hung up!, but you have to take care on the down lines will over rev, also tested a gsonic 18x10 and still very good 8000 rpm 8kg static trhust! more like it it pulls up nice from hover, but it goes to fast on harriers and knife edge almost using 2 clicks on the throtlle, and these engines on the low range is were they coughs some times, also noticed this prop cured the going rich engine when inverted still going a bit but it seems the higer load consumes the excess of fuel! so it sounds perfect amost no 4 stroking.
I think the best will be a gsonic 19x8 but I think they dont make them, shame because to me they performs better than the rest, they are quite light, they sounds and looks great, and still taking some abuse when landing in the rough!.to me wood looks nice, but they are less efficient you lose revs and thrust, and I broke many just loading the plane in my car some times just catching a tip in the carpet, also once I was testing the engine before going up and sucked a little stone, and one blade cracked right up to the boss xoar one.
Have to try a 19x8, but dont know wich brand will be similar and a reasonable price, gsonics are quite cheap.
any advice will be appreciated
cheers!
