It will be quicker, easier, more secure to just change your number. I've been through that before. It is an easy task to change your credit card number.
Otherwise, you will have years of frustration dealing with a crooked lawyer and all the money he will steal from you.

Wow, that is really convenient.... [&:][>:]
So, are you telling me members are at risk !!!!!!!!!!!
More to come..... Can you say ''Class Action''

RE: RCU Virus Infected
The correct question is, why are the owners/adminstrators of this NOT site coming forward and explaning the situation, and the actions THEY are taking to protect our CC info and action items to correct the issues.
They do have a fiduciary responsibility. Belive me !
Obviously, with the smartass responses; they think not.
They will quickly learn otherwise if CC info is actually stolen and harm falls upon the card holders.
This is not trivial in nature.

I fail to understand why RCU has always felt they needed a user's credit card information to enable the users to view the market place forums. Every so often I get notices from RCU tellng me I need to update my CC info or change my user profile. I just sit back and laugh at that level of stiupidity. People can view and buy anything, anywhere, without having to first post personal financial information.
So WHY does RCU believe they should have an individual's CC info? What does RCU think they would be able to do with that info? Which is the question everyone should be asking themselves. Anyone providing that kind of information is wide open and inviting trouble.

When recent virus issues were intercepted on my computer I went to my account and deleted the CC info with one click. Don't understand why others are saying it cannot be done.
By the way, I had never updated the original card expiration date so it was invalid anyway.

Tell us what you clicked ??
Or, is that being blocked at the moment.
Actually, the card info could already be comprised. Deleting it now could be a waste of time.
My advice to all would be to report you cards as stolen and have them re-issued. ASAP.
Edit:
I think you could delete your card info because it was expired. Valid, cards cannot be deleted. Just a guess.

RE: RCU Virus Infected
Seems as if the trouble all started back in December and the situation has been manifesting ever since. I just checked my CC info and was immediately attacked with a trojan/malware virus my Norton 360 caught it and deleted said virus. So until RCU disconnects their servers to perform secrurity sweeps with anti-virus to include anti-malware software the problem is going to prevail. Now my CC info has expired and I have had a change in cards since, I'm not posting an advertisement or buying anything from RCU. RCU needs to get their act together or else they are going to loose me and other's to their competition (RCScalemodler or RCgroups).

I cancelled by card.
There has been ample time to correct and properly re-implement all the functions/features of this site and to provide ample security.
Obviously, there does not exist the desire, priority or willingness to spend the funds to do so.
Damn shame, really!

RE: RCU Virus Infected
I don"t understand why you all are having these problems? I have NEVER had a problem with malware, spyware ect. on RCU.
Since you all have been whinning, I had my computer scaned and check by a IT expert in case I missed something. He found nothing related to
RCU. Am i just lucky? I am on RCU 2 of 3 times a day.... no issues.
Bottom line... if you don't like RCU get Off! If it is infecting your computer you should go.
Leave until the problems are fixed. I tired of the whinners.

The person or persons that placed the virus is no dummy...
I got it when I hit the UPGRADE BUTTON at the top of the RCU page... loaded when I paged down..
Result.... get a new CC Number and a New copy of the virus when you UPDATE...
Microsoft Security Essentials nailed it to the wall for me....

RE: RCU Virus Infected
Odd. I thought that if anyone could have a problem I would be the one, yet of all my (numerous) problem sites I have never had the slightest trouble with RCU.
Perhaps the old thing about better lucky than good?
