    RE: crrc 26R-dle20

I have two DLE 20's & two Crrc 26gpr's....the crrc delivers lots more power & at said price is an absolute bargain, that engine also uses superior SKF bearings..
My 26R is in my YT International Aichi VAL an 81" fiberglass dive bomber...swinging an 18x8 prop...it flys the plane super scale & just pulls vertical climbs & GIANT loops with the utmost ease. 7.6KG plane.
Lots of folk here said the engine was rubbish..i beg to differ...bags of flight time on mine now...no deadsticks & at over 3.1HP who am i to argue..it is a gem.
The DLE20 is a superb engine too...smaller , not much lighter & again...not a single problem with it....100's of flights in a scale 72 spitfire...the other is in an ESM 80" STUKA.
Knowing what i know now...i would save the £50 & opt for the 26R...it is a great engine..cm6 plug/RC-exl ignition...quality alloy mount etc etc...
I bought one dle from west wales...now i purchase from Boran trading...saved even more . identical goods.
My dle's were set really lean from the factory....started up from new straight away...but no revs...just tweaked..now perfect.
Same thing the the crrc pro's..exept they were bags too rich...they all need a little running in time & adjustments at first...now all run like sewing machines..& plugs are burning perfect.
Any more just ask.....i'm not a sunday flyer & literally cane these engines @ every available flyable day!!...

    Why cann't I chime in? Because I have a DLE 20, DLE 30 and a CRRC 26R.

I cann't because they are all still in the boxes waiting for me.

I'm so lazy, I really wish I had some input on this question.

I've got a CCRC26 in a GP P6E Hawk. Took out a Saito 125, it flys great. I just purchased a DLE-20. Me and 2 other gas gurus can't get it to run worth a darn. Leaks fuel around the needles, Get the high end good and it loads up on idle. Low needle all the way closed and it still loads up on idle. I've got a DLE-55 that is super. I think the 20 needs a Walbro carb. DLE's copy is of poor quality and needs work. Ken

Need to repost over on the DLE-20 thread. Jody over there from Valley View Hobby has seen EVERYTHING when it comes to the DLE's.
Maybe I should just take rubbing alcohol with me to the field and rub the props down before starting any of my planes!
