Which is better?
Which is better?
What specific purpose did you have in mind?
and what oil should each run on?
Dude - you need to give more information if you want replies any better than those you already have. - such as which models are you comparing and where you intend to use them.

RE: DA or Us engines?
Ok I'll go first. LOL Where is my Dr. Spock hat ?
I would say the DA is better since it is designed for models from the start.
If cost is an issue then the US is better.
I believe DA has a higher power to weight ratio.
DA has a nicer finish , if you like to see yourself in your models engine.
Desert Aircraft is a cooler name than US Engines.
US could mean Unserviceable & DA could mean Dumb *****
Both are made in the USA.
Of course that doesn't always mean good quality. My RV has a huge sticker on it saying 'Proudly Made in the USA" and I sure wouldn't be to proud of the quality of workmanship on it.
Guess that's why the RV company went out of business.
OK I have now stirred the caldrine. Now let's see what boils over. ;-)

DA for sure.... US Engines(the brand) are pretty low on power. My brother had a US 41 that would barely swing an 18x6. A DLE 30 is more powerful and a couple of pounds lighter

With a handle like yours I can see why you have a problem deciding, but if you have some molla burning a hole in your pocket get a DA, and if you need an anchor get the US Eng.

If you want excellent service and turn around time on repairs, you can't beat D.A. I crashed a plane, sent the engine in for repairs. It was back in my hands in 10 days from the day I mailed it out! It runs great after the repair. I now own 4 D.A. engines and all run very reliably from the 100cc twin down to the 50cc size.
