DLE55 Propeller for IMAC
I'm looking for a propeller for my 30% Extra 300 for mainly IMAC flying with some light 3D throw in. I searched and saw a few recommendations for the Zoar 22x8, 22x10, 23x8.
Any recommendations?
Also does anyone know what the difference is between a Zoar 22x8 laminated and 22x8 beechwood?
Thanks!

First, I must confess that I don't compete but I will give you my opinions of the two 22X8s. The laminated prop is a little heavier, costs more and spools up a little slower. I think it looks much better than the beachwood. It also will splinter the tips much easier if it strikes anything, grass or weeds or whatever. So my preference is the beachwood. I can't tell that they pull any differently.

Depends on YOUR style of flying.
for me a 23x8 is best, if you like to fly a bit faster then 22x10 may be ok but a 22x8 is too small IMO

I've tried both the Xoar laminated and beechwood 22x8's on my DLE55; couldn't really tell much difference. From what I understand, the laminated props are stiffer and don't "flex" as much, thereby holding their pitch better.

the laminate props do spin up slower and give less rpm's then the beechwood.but the performance in the up lines and in a hover are much better with the laminate props.i tried both and for me the laminates win, but they do splinter at the tips when they come into contact with the ground, like most wood props.
all and all the pull out is better and the speed is better.
i realy like the 23-8 laminate on the 55 the best on the 3dHS Slick.
