RE: Need CH ignition repaired.
You can replace them with RCexl caps, Might get bashed for this but i like them better than the Bosch caps.
If you think you can not replace them drop me a PM.

I considered this and looked into the box. Looks a little more complicated than I thought. I tried splicing a Rcexel wire and cap to the old wire but it didn't work. Paul

Can you tell I'm an old timer? Used to splice spark plug wires all the time to make them longer to keep away from the exhaust header. Made the engine look nicer too. Do ya'll know what a header is ?? Huh? Ha ha.

Personally, I rather enjoy replacing spark plug caps. [8D]

I have a freind with a G20 and am thinking the ignition is the problem. I have a spare CH ignition and wanted to try my CH. It is a spare for an Evolution 45 and am pretty sure I had to buy an adapter for it. Does somthing exist for the G20 Ralph? I would like to try my ignition.

Well, last week I was trying to tune it and it does not want to idle. Unsure when, but he broke the gear off and kind of mangled the plug cap. I had it tuned great then it all of a sudden wouldn't idle. I pulled the plug out and it is generating a spark, but this is not an engine running method to test. It seems intermittent, and it has always been my experience that this will be an ignition issue. I went through the carb at the field and its not a fuel issue. Before he orders a $130 ignition, I would rather verify.

If the plug cap got mangled the problem could just be the plug cap itself. Turn the ignition on and look into the cap while you turn the engine over. If you see the spark arcing to the metal shell, that's the problem.
They ever going to fix the image uploader on this site, pathetic.

I tried the BETA upload and got the server 500 error
I then tried the "Click here to upload images and files!" like I did before and it seemed to work fine
I'm not trying to prove anyone wrong. This has been a problem for a couple weeks and I seem powerless to get anything done about it? I'm just trying to find a workable route short of linking to pictures hosted elsewhere.

Or not, the spark will jump across the metal shell whether the boot is damaged or not...There's a better chance to NOT see it if the boot is damaged and the spark jumps inside to the shell..
