1 battery and 1 Tech-Aero IBEC plugged into the rx and then to the ignition.

It doesn't get any simpler than that. And it's lighter and just as reliable as a second battery and switch.

So, to power both systems you will need a larger mah battery & the BEC will wiegh more than the extra switch.. Whether you use 1 battery or 2, it will still take a given amount of current capacity to power both. How is that "lighter

A larger battery but less components and a simpler configuration and more compact. Let's face it guys.....it is just a matter of choice.
What do YOU want? I like the IBEC's. That is my choice. The title of this forum IS NOT "I want to force everyone to use a IBEC".
Why do people find it to be their mission to create a totally off topic argument of the subject at hand.

Well I did the maiden flights on my Golden Eagle Talon this weekend. I used the Tech-Aero IBEC with two Hangtime Hobbies A123 packs. Everything worked flawlessly and was very easy to set up.

The product and fast delivery from Tech-Aero will make me a return customer.

Thanks to everyone supporting this thread for giving me the confidence to try this product and setup.

Pete
