G38 with a bent crank
I recently got an older G38 magneto ignition in a trade with a bent crank. Is there anyone who can reliably straighten it?
I noticed it really had a prop tip tracking problem while testing and tuning on my test stand. This engine will be converted to EI after the crank problem is remedied. Any suggestions guys?

Ralph Cunningham of RC Ignitions use to be the crank straightening guru, but not sure if he does that anymore. Give him a shout.

RE: G38 with a bent crank
This G38 is one of the older ones with the steel prop hub. Is it possible to update this to the new hub? Is the crank the same taper etc. ?
I see I can buy the new short flywheel hub with the magnet installed and a sensor and bracket for under $30. It looks like it would require the purchase of the 2 bolt prop hub to complete the installation minus the ignition. Anyone gone this route before with the older G38?

RE: G38 with a bent crank
Hopefully you have spoken with Ralph (Antique) by now.
He is not only The man for the crank issue but he is also THE MAN for pretty much all things Zenoah. If he can't give you the right advice, nobody can.

Yes Aussie, I have pm'd Ralph. If anyone else knows if what I plan to do is possible with updating the hub etc., chime in. I haven't seen a new one so I'm not sure if it'll fit.
Thanks...
