Default looking for a good 2 stroke gas oil

i'm looking for a new oil for my gas engine. the oil i'm useing right now is ok but i'm not happy enough with it. i'm useing the briggs and straton oil right now and i'm still useing 32:1 mix from when i was breaking in the motor. i'm running a 26cc engine its a CRRC and i'm going to move to a 40:1 mix. i'm looking for a oil thats not so messy and nasty i'm looking for less mess any ideas?

Yes, but you will be inadvertently killing small children and kittens. Other than that it is fine as long as you don't have a lean run. @ 100:1 there isn't much room for error.

Personally, I use Stihl HP Ultra and have had very good results.

Oh, before anyone else gets in first ................ Dodge, Futaba and DA are thebest.

Any opinions on Evolution synthetic? Looks like Zenoah bottle and oil.

Seeing as plane cleanliness is the major concern.

Why use any oil at all?

For me it's Mobil 2T Fully synthetic (we can't get Stihl Ultra here), 40:1, Ford (for carrying my planes), Futaba S-Bus, 3W, MVVS and BME. - But my bike is also European as is my day to day drive.

Any of the following quality oils mixed at between 32 and 40:1 will provide all the lubrication protection you will ever need and then some; Stihl Ultra, Red Line, Bel Ray HR-1, Pennzoil, Royal Purple, and Mobil 2T, just to name a few.

Here is a small tip on finding a LOT of information on oils etc.

Go to the top of the screen here and look at the top left corner - about an inch or so down on a full screen. You wil see the part that I have highlighted in the pic below.

Move the mouse pointer over it and you will see the word "Search"

Click on that - I promise it won't cause you any damage.

Then when the next screen appears. Type in some keywords and a few options and you will have a HUGE amount of discussion available on it.

I am guessing I will be called a bully for doing this - but ya know what? - I don't give a damn.

Saw on another site where the Evolution oil was essentially the same as Mobil MX2T. Is that correct?

It may have been in the past but the current Evolution Oil is re-labeled Morgans CoolPower oil.

If your engine is broken in you shouldn't be getting any residue unless you have the engine running to rich. Gas engines are not suppose to be run rich.

Rich or lean....the engine will tell you either way.

On oils, I really like BelRay MC1 at 50:1 ratio

Strange how some of the "bigs" on these motor threads lost thier kindness and consideration long ago in life. Most of them offer great advise, but now and then they all seem to get fiesty. There are plenty of oil threads to view, but I thought the Amy guy was so busy protecting our intersts that he did not have hours on end as most of us old guys do to scan through the boards. If you can't answer a question with kindness don't say anything. Thanks... My 2 cents. Brian

Brian,

Agreed. I'm a trainer by profession, and if anyone don't want to answer rookie questions, they need to remain an observer. As for oil, I use, but don't advocate Royal Purple at 32-1 for my JBA 15, DLE 20 and 30, SPE 43, and Zenoah 62. All run fine. I use the same stuff in my 2-stroke garden and yard equipment and snow blower at 50-1. I get it for about 9 dollars a quart from Amazon. Find what works for you and stick with it.

Head down to your nearest motorcycle dealer.
park your car conveniently close. You may think you ripped them off with the low price you're about to pay.
Walk in and ask the pretty girl behind the reception desk where the parts/spares counters is.
Now walk that way while trying not to make it obvious you are trying to get in a good perv.
Don;t trip up the stairs.
When you get to the sparesdesk, ask the big ugly guy behind the counter for the best 2 stroke oil he keeps in stock.
Buy it.
Don't forget to pay.
Walk down the stairs again try not to make it obvious you are staring at the receptionists cleavage.
Smile and wave. if you single strike up conversation. If you're married, make sure she isnot befriended with your wife.

when you evenutally get home, find your engines manual - oh dran threw it awa did you...
Oh ok, well mix the recently purchased synthetic 2 stroke oil into the petrol/gasoline/alkylate/benzin you have at home in the ratio of 32:1.

Now go fly. Sweating should happen during those inverted spins, not while shopping for oil

Stihl / Amsoil etc are not available in my country. Is any 2stroke oil (like the one used for bikes) ok? Someone suggested Motul 800 (I think), not sure you get that here either

AH! HA HA HA HA HA ! AH ! HA HA HA HA ! THESE OIL THREADS ARE SO FUNNY! AH ! HA HA HA HA! JUST PICK ONE! if they were all that bad, do you think they would still be in business? They still make less gunk than a slimy glow, even the worst of them. Ever look at a real plane? how much oil and crap is all over them? Buy a good name brand and your o.k. (The opinions of this poster are not necessarily the opinions of the management or all the other posters in this thread)
