Well guys, I got her up and running today. Was not any harder to start than one of my new DLE's.

Im useing a Xora 18X10 wood prop as this prop came of my DLE 30 wich is not new about 4 gallon of Use and pulls7200 with DLE 30

So after 30oz of fuel 25-1 oil penzoil, she was running smoth, and sounded great. And would pull 7200 RPM

After another 30oz of fuel She would run strong at 7500 rpm, now mind you this with 25-1 penzoil, and I didn't even touch a single needle, She runs great out of the box.

You can tell this motor was run at the factory as there is oil on the motos and some one the piston.

I cat wate to get this motor in my P40

Turk1,

Good video and one Great thing I noticed in your first video, before you flipped the prop, you said Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.

Mody
Hi Armody , yes, we here believe in that phrase opens good preventive energy gates and eliminates some bad energies whatever you begin initially.

Well I got this bad boy installed in my CMP P40. I was suppried I did not have to change any of my set up vs the Sato 220 I had up front, I just used the 4 cell nicad pack for the spark controler to get the CG perfect. No lead!My motor seems to have a hard time hand starting. It will jump to life if I hit it with the electic starter for 2-3 secounds. I was thinking of trying to put the prop on diffrent location compaired to the pick up sensor. Thanks Mike

Has anyone seen any prop data and/or a magazine test for this little beast?  Thx.  Bob

Well from my data up above this motor seems to be just a little stronger than a DLE 30 wich is my all time fav motor as I have several of them.

Ihave only ran 4-5 tanks thus far and she is still breaking in. Even thow its about 3-400 rpm over the DLE 30, and the 30 is broken in, I havent even touched the needles yet!

I love the rear muff set up as when you add the cost of a $75-90 pitts muffler it makes this motor real deal

And great job keeping the rail mounts.

Hi Mike, here we first activate the choke, flip the prop several times at full throttle, when begin to hear ignition, after several more flip deactivate the choke and at idle position after 2-3 flipping it starts easily.Did you check/adjust the advance timing and spark plug gap?

Default RE: NGH 35 CC Gas engine.

Thank you all! Let me explain and introduce NGH GT35 engine as details below, it is useful for you to know GT35 structure and use it.

Special design on GT35 and it is unique.

1. Glow style vision: (with all NGH size)

a) same dimension as classical .180 glow engine size with beam-mounting, you can easy to replace GT35 on your airframe, also the extra rear-standoff for your preference for installation.

b) Sleeve made by special wear-resisting material with long life (with all NGH size), this material is with special ring material and will work together for long life.

c) Sleeve with high precision (with all NGH size):  strictly control for tolerance within 0.003mm, usually made by plated just be 0.025mm in China,  this tolerance is very important data on an engine, high precision can keep the high RPM for long time, because when the engine is with break-in and run for any time, at the beginning always engines are with high RPM and powerful, but this situation can’t be last long time, because the engine running has a wastage on the tolerance, this is why always we use a new gas engine with high RPM and powerful at beginning, but it is less power when it works for a short time.

d) Intake from crankshaft with front carb: let the engine is more compact.

E) Always use glow-type Muffler: with less noise than Polished-muffler, but maybe some leak same as glow engine, and some can be rotated with 180 degrees.

F) almost all parts are separated as same as glow engine, we can easy to assemble it and disassemble it, and no need to make the crankshaft with rod as a part, use a Roller-bearings Conrod made by aluminium alloy.

2. Special converting structure:

GT35 is with three parts separated, cylinder-head, cylinder-block, crankcase, each GT35 has an extra piston inside the box for converting to side-exhaust or rear-exhaust, we can convert it home, just rotate the cylinder-head and block and liner with 90 degrees together, and replace the extra piston assembly, it is from side-exhaust to rear or from rear to side.

As a real engine manufactory, always we need get some steps;

The first is size-selection: we always got suggestions from market and dealers and model friends and many people even we do not know each other, because many good suggestions had been considered to match the design. We did our best to match all into one size-selection. And then we make it.

Process of manufacture: always we met problems, and we keep the discussing with many people to solve it with no secrets.

Process of test: each new always be tested by many professional experts and my flyers, modify…..

Share the fruit: let us see and use it which made by all professional advice from yours all.

All helps to me to make some different products not just copy and to be a clone. Really thanks!

Good info, thanks. What is your recommendation to prevent if engine will not be in use for sometime?Any risk of rust?
Especially on cylinder and ring.

Sir.

I think you bought a GT35 which is with side-exhaust, the converting is easy, please try to do carefully.
1. research the GT35 with the manual and explorded views.
2. disassemble your GT35, remember the situations of some parts which need to change.
3. take the Ring installed on the extra Rear-pinston, and inside the cyliner-liner
4. rotate the cylinder-head and cylinder-liner with 90 degrees.
5. reassemble it. it is GT35R with rear-exhaust.
6. please do it carfully and think it with all parts are correct situations.

NGH gas engine is with classical glow engine style, each size is with sleeve inside for long time works, so All NGH gas engine is any more heavy than others which many by plated-head gas engine.
Flyers will use NGH gas engine well if he has experience with glow engine ever.

You can use same rate for fuel and oil mixture with 30:1 or 35:1. no problem.

I suggest you fly your GT35 first and later you can try to convert it to GT35R.

thank you sir.

michael
If you are going to convert to rear exhaust you should do it right from the start or the cylinder/liner and piston will have to go through the seating process all over again. May I also suggest a Frank Bowman ring to replace the original ring especially if you have previously run in side exhaust configuration.

A warning to GT 35 users; please take care of fuel line route when passing near the muffler.(Side exhaust). We have met melted fuel line case. Also avoid from vapor lock.

Sir, NGH is a glow-style gas engine with front-carb, so please notice pipeline installation Avoiding high temperature area of the engine like cylinder-head and exhaust and crankcase etc..

That engine still on break in phase and using 25:1 oil mix.Maybe 30-35 mins. flight time yet plus several tanks bench run..Easy start, good idling (about 1900 RPM).But problems with fuel line route(his first gas engine experience).

Today one of very new NGH 35 needed some adjustment.(Some missing at midranges). We adjust plug gap alittle close (NGK),and played with timing and both needles. At one moment, engine showed couldnt start.Crazy but only some ignition but no run. Thanks to spare RCEXL spark plug,we changed spark plug and voila, engine returned to life again.

"Portly"...I love that term! What a courteous word substitute for fat/heavy.

I attended the 2012 TOLEDO R/C EXPO today and looked the NGH 35 over real close.

Nice engine but not nice enough for me to shell out the dough.

Best price at the show was $250.

"UncleGeorge" on RC Groups is selling for $215 plus $14 for shipping ($229.00)

A $20 savings and these days that is substantial.

Please be aware that this engine has a liner. Not that kind of block hardened style.Difference comes from that.

Turk1 is correct. We are the official USdistributor, but we only warranty and service engines we sell. We do carry all the replacement parts for all the engine models. Our higher price is due to the fact that we offer excellent service and warranty to our customers! It takes a significant investment in time and money to stock all the parts for all the engine models. The majority of smaller companies like ourselves that sell engines for really low prices dont actually stock the parts to fix the motors. We feel that if we sell an engine to a customer that parts should always be in stock to quickly repair and fix engines if they need it. I hope this answers the question! If there are any questions please feel free to contact us by email ( [email protected]) or by phone (804-723-8630).
