RE: the best prop dle30 piper 1/4 ?
thank you for your opinion ....
I have the choice between 20x6 and 18x18 "lance".
for 18x18"lance" it is beautiful, good aerobraking effect as the 20x6?

18*18 will need very low revs to slow down. The more pitch you add, the faster the airframe tries to go.
I like an 8" pitch on my planes to get enough airspeed for knife edge loops. 6" provides a lower landing speed. 10" or above means speed-speed! The big YS engines can generate a very low idle, but a gasser needs say 2000RPM, a 10"+ prop at those revs means a high landing speed.

I use a Xoar 19-6 laminated on my CUB. Works great but I have wanted to try a 20-6 just to see how it would work. I have also tried all the standard DLE 30 sized props such as the 19-8, etc. and none worked as well as the 19-6. The CUB just performs best with the lower pitched props. By the way, my CUB will do continuous knife edge loops with the 6" pitch and in fact it pulls through the bottom and into the next loop far better with the lower pitch. Lower pitch also gives me quite a bit of prop braking on steep landing approaches where with more pitch you lose this effect.
Now for those wanting scale like performance you should have installed the 20 rather than the 30 but if you already have the 30 in there, the lower pitch props will give you scale like flight about 2 to 3 clicks above idle!
Now for a light aerobatic plane such as my YAK 55, the 19-8 works better than the 19-6.
