Default Quadra 75 Carb

A buddy of mine had his carb rebuilt and he is still having issues, it bogs on throttle up.... regardless of how rich the bottom or low end is.... his carb says wt 517 but it doesnt look like anything in the pic http://www.lawnmowerpros.com/detail.asp?id=WT-517-1

has anyone replaced a carb on a q75 that can help guide us in the right direction?

A Walbro WT-517 is just a #28 or 11.11mm carb. It is hardly big enough for a Quadra 75

The usual carb for the Quadra 75 is a Walbro SDC-80 with a 19.05 mm venturi

Here's a picture of the carb from a DLE 111 twin on Tower's site. I think it is a Chinese EMAS knock-off of the Walbro SDC-80 for $60

Yes, as w8ye pointed out, these engines usually have SDC-80 carbs on them. In good working order these are usually quite easy to adjust. My bet is that someone swapped the correct carb for the WT series carb.

The WT-517 is still too small.

Most 3.2 engines have a carb like a WT-401 with a 13.8mm venturi
