custom HDPE (plastic) fuel tanks
I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I wanted to share this info with you. For a couple months now I have been making custom fuel tanks out of HDPE, mostly for gas rc boats on Jims RC boatdock and International waters. One of my customers said there might be interest in the gas airplane world for custom fuel tanks or smoke tanks.
Made from 1/8†or 1/16" high density polyethylene and comes with a Sullivan gas fitting. These are made to order to your specifications. All you have to do is provide basic measurements (Length x Width x Height).
For those who don't perfer the sullivan fuel fittings I can install HDPE barbed fittings. One in a lower corner for a fuel pick-up and one in a top corner for a vent.
No payment is due until the tank has been built, leak tested and ready to ship. I will email you pictures and my paypal address at that time. Prices are based on size and complexity. Most small- med nitro tanks will run $25-$35 and larger gas $40-$50.
You can PM me or email sketches/ measurements to [email protected]
Thanks for looking

Ryan,
For aircraft, I suggest you show the pick up tube inside. Aircraft don't work only in two dimensions
Just my observation, made from such thick sheet, they appear a bit heavy, No? Big planes probably won't notice but 30cc size may.
Nevertheless, good looking tanks
PE is simple to sonically weld

RE: custom HDPE (plastic) fuel tanks
Thanks guys, These are seam welded. HDPE is so chemical resistant nothing will really bond to it. For aircraft I would recommend 1/16" and a sullivan fitting with a clunk style pick-up. The 1/8" would be a little heavy for small planes, but the 1/16" is pretty light.
Thanks
