I am looking at this on Craigs List. I am probably going to buy it anyway because the air retracts are worth what he's asking for the whole package. I was just hoping Someone could identify the engine. I know it would be difficult with these two pictures but maybey someone has one.

Actually, he does not. He is the second owner after he got it of thEBay. He never flew it and since it was his "first plane" it's probably best that he did not. He is near my home but I am in Afghanistan for a few more months. Thus, I was hoping to get some help identifying it from here.

I look on the web for pictures of an Irvine but cant find one with a muffler like the one in the picture in my post. That muffler looks like a gas "weed eater style" muffler. Well, I asked the owner to send me a picture of it with the cowl off and close in on the engine.

it might be one adapted to fit. like the Zenoa (sp) 20cc one. can you post a larger pic than what shows up here? or give a ebay link?

These pictures were what he has on his ad and full size. It's on Craigslist, he bought it on thEbay 2 years ago. He is out of town right now and said he would get me a picture of the engine up close when he returns. I posted the side view picture because of the two switches. That and the muffler I can see in in the cowl make me hope it's gas. It apears to have a "nitro style" round head and rotary valve style carb. But I can't seem to find any engine with that configuration along with the red cyl jug. Could have been painted by the owner???
