Default p51

I just bought a used P51 with air retracts.
Can you recharge the reservoir with a football inflation needle or do I need a special fitting?

If they are Robart retracts you simply need a tire inflation fitting to charge the onboard bottles.

These are apparently not Robarts. There is only one pressure line going to the actuators. Robarts have two.

Ummm.... perhaps you'd get more feedback if you have a mod move this question to the Warbird forum rather than the gas engine forum?????

That said; I've never really looked at them but I understand that Springairs take pressue to retract and will extend without pressure to hold them retracted, perhaps that's what you have? I know there's another fill type valve but my Century Jet and Sierra retracts both use the same type of tire inflation valve setup.
