The engines have already landed in our IL warehouse and we are simply waiting for the shipment to hit our CA warehouse to start shipping these.

I would not buy this crap engine, it won't run.
the carb is a clone of the NGH 9cc first prototype carb
the NGH 9 still has several issues with the external pump - fuel regulator.
do you really think this one will run better without fuel regulator ?
save your money and good luck guinea pigs

As the former owner of a JBA 15, I have to add a hearty PLUS ONE to the last post. Leaky muffler, wrong carb, 2 broken connecting rods.... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I really wish this new engine all the luck in the world but unfortunately have to say ditto to the preceeding post regarding the JBA.

Common guys, evaluate the Evolution on its merits, not the merits of some other engine.

None of my gas engines have an accelerator pump on them either and they all run great in spite of not having a accelerator pump on them.

Wow. Really? I can understand being gun-shy if you had a bad experience with a previous Evolution engine, but to declare ours to be garbage based on a bad experience with a competitor's product just leaves me speechless.

OK why don't you share some videos / pictures for us and prove it's not a clone of the other chinese carb ?
oh wait.. you want your customers (beta testers) spend 200 bucks and do a review for the RCU community ?

Well I am surprised by those remarks too, where someone considers the engine bad by comparing to a different company's engine. This is like saying all Chevrolet cars are bad because they saw a Ford car broken down a while back.   You cannot compare apples to oranges.
I look forward to getting one of the Evo 10cc engines myself too.

Speculating really goes no where. There will be those that will be first in line and report back with their experience. I will be waiting to see what the reports say. If good, I have some multi-engine projects that can use this engine. I'd like to see a 15cc too.

Incidentally we're working on final proofing a video now. I'm hoping it will be posted within a few days.

Hopefully the video will include some performance data on a couple different props?

This may well be the perfect engine for the GP christen eagle 46.

ahicks,

The video has some information on it, but it doesn't have specific performance data like what you want. Here's a list of some props and numbers we obtained during testing. Hopefully this helps!

Thanks,
Jim

What about this size engine in say a PT-60? I need a small gasser for my childrens trainer-I really don't want to go glow on it. Also, an engine such as this will still sound like a glow engine won't it?

The 10GX will work great in something like a PT-60.

The 10GX sounds exactly like a glow engine. If someone were to arrive at the field while one of them is already in the air, the only giveaway that it's not a glow engine is the invisible exhaust.
