RE: I am happy to announce to the gasser hobby
When the outboard motor industry went to recommending synthetic oil in their engines that had
computer controlled oiling they experimented with very low oil ratios such as less than 200 to one,
You know what the biggest problem was that they ran into? There was so little oil left on the cylinder
bore that rusting would occur if the engine set for several days before being run but the engines
ran just fine.

To add to the above post. If the engine hits the ground. What oil are we talking about?

99% of them are going to take a dirt nap before an oil related problem anyway.
Maybe if people spent more time actually flying instead of being angry keyboard know-it-alls we could alter that statistic to 95%, but until that happens..............
Not pointing fingers at anyone. Just voicing my overall frustration with forums and why I rarely ever log in anymore. It just gets old trying to help people who seem bent on kicking you in the nards for the effort. I spend my time flying instead.
