DLS 30 repair
Who repairs a DLE 30?I had a crash an a lug broke off the crankcase and the muffler tore out and cracked the cylinder.
I would like to have the sleeve pulled out and placed in a new cylinder so I wont have to re-brake it in.
Also the crank and all of the bearings are good so they would have to be pulled and put into a new crankcase.
The rod and everything else would have to be checked.

LXAACW, LXYUS5, LXYUS9 = 62.97 from tower, plus shipping. That's a far cry from the price of a new engine in my book. Those numbers are the parts that you need to fix your engine. There is a new back plate, a new cylinder, and a new ring. You can reuse everything you have left providing that your description of the damage is correct. You may want to also get a gasket set just in case your cylinder gasket tears during disassemble. You will need to brake the engine in with the new ring and cyl. There is also the option of going with a Bowman ring. If you don't feel that you can do this on your own there are several in here that are qualified to do so.

It appeared to me that more than just the back plate was broken off. I hope your are correct. I will have to look at it again.
Even if I have to replace the crankcase and its bearings I discovered at Valle Vue I can get the parts for about $11o. That is less than 1/2 the price of a new motor.
