Would 5 mil blind nuts be ok for mounting a OS 33 GT to 8 mil plywood firewall please?

fine, where the stand off meets the firewall, I like to put a big mudguard washer to spread the load

I assume you mean millimeters...."mils" are thousandths of an inch. M5 bolts and nuts are fine if not overkill for a 33, and so is a 3/8" birch ply firewall. If you are concerned about weight, NP....

I use 1/4" cross grained balsa/carbon sandwich firewalls for my 33's. The actual mounts are soft, rubber isolation types of my design that use 3/32" plywood front faces to attach the stand offs. The mounting hardware is 6-32 and is plenty since the vast majority of vibes is absorbed by the rubber.
