No, but I agree with slamn sammy that you replace the spark plug with a genuine NGK CM-6.The plugs supplied with the DLE engines are known to be a problem.
My new and as yet not run DLE20 RA clicks due to the play in the ring.
I hope to fire it up within the week, but our club field won't open for about 2 weeks;-(

Friends, I had sent an email to the team DLE before ask here. Following the response, I received them today:

"Hi, It's 100% normal because we reduced the piston tolerance, so it will knocking when it's cold, try to warm it for few mins, it will gone."

My Dle 20 is quitter now l got some time on it. I think the rocking noise was because of a dry motor. After u run it, it will b better.

Funny, but I've never heard that clicking or any other sound like that from any of my 20cc and 23cc Zenoah engines.

The noise is not the the slack in the ring in the ring grove. It is the slack in the rod and wrist pin bearings when piston goes over TDC.Most all of the Chinese engine have this noise. Not really normal but usually does not hurt anything. Some of my DLE,s have it some don't. But none of them have blew up.

Yeh I thought that if the noise was like that and caused by the ring fit , the groove would be like 10x the width of the ring !! Cheers

Well I finally got to put some gaz through my DLE20RA. What a sweet engine! The needles were very rich, I dialed it in, just a little on the rich side. I was getting a consistent idle of 1670 with nice transition. On its second start, it started with one flip. I think it's a keeper!
I hope to get the maiden flight in next week, then keep burning the gas boring holes in the sky;-)
