9,800rpm is about right. I saw 9,870 with an APC 14x6.

I've switched to an APC 14x8 which turns at 9,000rpm and the engine really likes the heavier load.

That's about what I'm getting. So far, so good. I'm about ready to start setting the low speed, I believe OS calls it the fuel control valve. The engine is getting richer and richer on the bottom end and I've flown it about 10 times so it's ready. I will reset the high end after that and see if I get more than 8800 on the APC 14x8.

I took my Aeroworks Extra 260 equipped with this engine today for the first flight. Right before take off I was getting 10000 rpm with the Xoar 14x6. It pulls the plane with no problems without using full throttle. It is a sweet combo. The engine has plenty of power and I'm starting to love it. I'm going to try a Xoar 15x6 the next weekend, I'd like more pull and less speed for the aerobatics. This is definitely the way to go.

I had the os fs95 and I didn´t have to change the mounting. I believe the os 75 ax holes arrangement is exactly the same.

Its a glow gas conversion and the stock muffler is a glow muffler. Those are larger than the corresponding gas muffler, aren't they? If so, you can probably use the equivalent pitts style muffler

I have the same airplane & have a 22cc gas engine on it. It seems a little to much for the airplane. I have a Saito 1.50 I would like to try on it. Do you or anyone else know it the Saito 1.5 would be about right. Thanks, In advance.......

Sorry for the late reply. That saito might be a bit big. Just have a look at the distance from the firewall to the front of the cowl.

Ok I just ordered one of these OS GT15's from Tower Hobbies and was able to get it delivered to my door for $299.00 I have been working on a NGH GT17 for the last 3 month's and even throw the engine always ran right I had a terrible time keeping the muffler on or together. I wanted a little gas engine to replace my OS 75AX I have in a Great Planes P-47 and this OS GT15 seems to be the right engine for that plane after ready these post. I will be reusing the JTEC in-cowl muffler I have on the OS 75AX on this engine and it looks like it will be a drop in fit. If I can get 9000RPM with a APC 14x8 prop the P-47 will never even know the engine has been replaced. I am looking to getting 10 to 15 minute flights with a 8oz tank. Thanks to all who have posted on the engine. You have made my choice of this engine very easy.

Well I have tried to start this engine with the factory settings and I have to squirt some fuel up into the venturi to get it to start. Once the engine is running it does not stop. I have the needle valve 3 turns out and I using my Sullivan starter to spin the engine for 7 seconds to get fuel up to the carb. I then open the throttle 1/4 and turn on the ignition. The engine does not start until I inject fuel into the venturi. I have only run the engine twice. Will the engine get easier to start after each run?. I have run the engine for two 15 minute runs. I am getting 10000 rpm with a MAS 14x6 prop and a good 2200 idle. It runs very well when after it starts but it is just hard to start. The instructions say not the mess with the factory low end setting until after Break-in but I think I my mess with it if the engine does not get easier to start the next two or three times. I got this engine because of the good ratings here on this thread. Thanks for any help and info you can provide.

Try putting you finger over the carb then spin the prop a few times then turn your ignition on and it should be ok. You might have a small air leak that's letting the fuel flow back when it's not running.

I tried this and I can get gas up to the carb but not threw it unless I squirt some fuel into the venturi. Then the engine starts very easy. I hope that after a few more starts the engine gets passed this and starts like the instructions say. It is a very strong engine once I can get it to start.

Guys, I have been away for some time and have been flying gassers all season. Now its the monsoon, and we need to fly the smaller cheaper glow airplanes. However, methanol has disappeared from the market, so we cant fly even though we have the lube. So I need to know the low down on these engines the GGT10 and 15.

We get fuel gas mixed with ethanol here, nothing can be done about that. The OS engine cost twice that as the equivalent glow. Nothing can be done about that either. We are hand launching and landing i dunking into tall grass at the end of a water logged field, so electric are out of the question. Are these GGT engines reliable enough?

Buy from world hobbies the best price you will find. I've have one of each haven't had time to do anything with them. Rc groups has a forum on these they might be able to help more over there.
