Firewall thickness for 26cc engine
I am getting ready to mount a 26cc Turnigy engine on a Phoenix Yak 120 size. Wanted to know what minimum thickness the firewall should be

It is not just the thickness of a firewall, it is important how well it is tied into good solid structure of the airframe. Small 1/8 inch triangle shaped gussets help a lot.

The phoenis yak has tristock on the front of the firewall, not on the rear right now. The stock holes were not spaces correctly for the 26cc. However, on the back of the firewall, there were ply doughnuts to hold the blind nuts & when i tapped them out, they came off with the doughnuts. Thus the firewall holes are now wide enough for the 26's standoffs. I need to machine shorter standoffs to get the engine further back & then plan stuff I will do inside the fuse, so I will look at the thickness a bit later
