Mine cost $10 at ace hw.
this is a great idea, and exactly why I started this thread. I wanted ideas, and this one is good. Especially since I may want more than one oil ratio for different engines. It would be no biggy to have 2. Also, the electrics are more to maintain, but I do not want to have to crank forever on my 32oz. tanks. I will look into this. Thanks.

I use a bicycle pump to pressurize my gas can. It only requires two fittings in the gas can, on for the clunk pickup and one for the pump.
I did find that inserting a simple one-way valve in the pump tubing helped cut down the amount of pumping required. Now 5-6 pumps will fill a 1 liter fuel tank in no time.

I don´t. :-)

I guess you could rig something up so you could pressurize the tank in the model and thereby empty it into your gas can. That being said I have never seen the need to empty the tank in the model. Even after being stored for the whole winter, it´s just a matter of topping up the fuel tank with fresh fuel and go.

Yes, just plug the vents

If you really need to defuel, just go inside the spray bottle and remove the pick up line.If that is not easy to do just double it upand make sure its end is above the fuel level. Remove the fuel line at the carb and lead it to a temporary container.. Then hook the fuel line to the vent and pressurize the tank.. With rear carb engines I use a two line system with at tee in the line to fuel & defuel with

Plugging the vents on a gas model are not wise. The fuel vapors expand way more than glow. If you have a stopper tank, it will blow the bung right out. Do not ask me how I know! lol

I had one of these arrive this past week. Very nice unit. Clean, looks durable, and runs very quiet and smooth. I will just stick with the can I have, as it is fine, and I added this pump to it. I will report back with any problems, but it is very nice indeed.

The easy way to defuel:
Hook the gasser to the vent line. remove the gas line at tthe carb and connect it to a temporary container.
Turn the gasser upside down and blow the fuel out.

The container needs to be designed for the job. I wouldnt do as some suggest, get a bicycle pump and pressurize your gas can.
Sprayers are designed to withstand pressure.
When I am not using it I always relieve the pressure.

Abell hobbies makes a nice can setup. Seacraft makes some pumps and a cap retrofit that is nice. You can buy the pump jersey modeller and abell use by itslf from them both or from mcmaster carr for 50 or so and build your own mount and stuff.

The same goes for a electric pump. The silicone spray will keep the impeller in good shape. Just clear out the gas first!

Mikola. I was wanting to make a similar can. What did you use for the filler cap on the can.
