Also can get a K-10 Walbro rebuild kit at about any outdoor power equipment place. K-10 works for DLE 20 and 30, K-20 for 50/55cc's.
ValleyView carries both. And about a zillion other suppliers. Just Google "Walbro K-10"

Walbro felt fuel clunks not only filter, they also prevent fuel foaming and hold a certain amount of fuel for long down lines as well as absorb the fuel out of the tank. Kind of like bounty, the quicker picker upper.
There is a reason why chainsaws and weed eaters use them.

Set and watch your engine running on a test stand while using one of those felt filters. Watch in the tank, your fuel line going to the carburetor, and how your engine runs . . .
Your engine will not suck a bubble out of the tank when using the felt filter. The fuel line will be full until the fuel runs out.

I don't think it really matters what kind or clunk you use/ watch the video. The dam clunk is hanging in the air more than the fuel.

Chainsaws & weed eaters are fueled by removing a cap that most likely is covered & surrounded by sawdust, wood chips, weed seeds, pollen & dirt. Then the fuel is poured, unfiltered from a container through that opening.
You're right, there are lots of reasons that these implements have felt clunks in the tank, none of which apply to R/C aircraft.
A chainsaw or weedeater also doesn't crash if the clunk gets clogged.
If you use the felt clunk in the fuel can that you pump fuel from there isn't any need for a filter in the tank. If you insist in an onboard filter on the aircraft, at least place it in the easiest accessible place, not the least accessible.
