Hopefully that's for break in, but I didn't hear him mention that...
Al, the video said a 14x8 Falcon on the 10cc. That's unbelievable of course but that's the video caption above. A mistake??

My OS GT15 turns the apc 14x8 at about 8500 so far, not fully tweeked.

Matt,
I've read since that it's turning 13" props OK in the field. Pretty much what I'm getting with the Evo 10's. I've watched/listened to that video a few times now, and don't hear anything regarding the 10cc engine and bigger props. I don't hear worth a darn any more though. That could be just me. Sound not worth a darn on the video.

Have to admit that like Mikola, I'm a little disenchanted with the 10 at the moment. About the only thing it shares with the rear exhaust version they showed us at Toledo a couple years back (the engine that got me excited originally), is it's displacement.

Actually, a little disenchanted with RCGF and their marketing ability in general. The 10's price is the same as the next 2 much bigger engines in their product line up, including a 26cc beam mount that's been out for over a year and nobody knows anything about yet. Not saying any of the engines are less than great, it just seems like they can't seem to follow through with decent marketing. Too bad really. They've got some nice stuff. It's just that nobody knows anything about it. -Al

Fired mine up finally on Thurs.
I have the one with the separate fuel pump not the newer version that mikola posted.
The engine took a bit of spinning with a starter to get it started, once started it seemed to run well.
I then attempted to put my tach on it(rcxcel),once I did the engine died and couldn't get it started again until I disconnected the tach. I also noticed my fuel pump diaphragm was leaking.
I contacted Rcgfusa and Joe told me that the tach is not compatible with the new ignition system.
Joe from Rcgf sent me out a new version of the fuel pump and a comparable tach to got with it,all in the same day I spoke to him. A big thanks to Joe at Rcgfusa.
Parts should be here Mon.
That said, with a 13x6 apc prop and running it for a few min. the engine sounded at around the 9000 rpm range. I'll get exact numbers once my tach arrives.
I have seen on Youtube where its spinning a 13x6 at 10400 rpm.
Going to try a 14 inch prop as well and see what it spins.

So what's the consensus on the RCGF 10cc? I just picked up a 40 size Cessna (Great Planes) and I plan on pulling the electric motor and installing a 10cc gas motor. Just researching my options right now.

Love2fly,
I haven't flown my plane with the engine yet. I started it last weekend for the first time but the fuel pump was leaking from the gasket. I didn't get to do much after that. Rcgfusa took care of the issue ASAP with a new version of the pump that I noticed.
The little time I had it running it ran well considering it was the first start.
They also have a 10cc BM which comes with a walbro type carb now or you can order the rotary carb with separate fuel pump.
One thing to also consider is if you want to go with a rear mounted carb engine.
I had to redrill my firewall to fit the engine,no biggie but had i gone with a front carb engine I could of used the stock motor mount that the arf came with and bolt it to the predrilled holes in the firewall.
The exterior finish of the engine looks a little rough but as long as it performs well I don't mind.
Also check out Youtube for videos on it. I found one where it was running a 13x6 prop at 10400 rpm.
I have also seen one run on the new os g5 glow plug sans cdi.Rcgfusa's customer service has me sold though.
I didn't even leave a message on the answering machine and Joe called me back within a few minutes.

THanks again btw Joe at Rcgfusa.

Thanks for the review.
I watched videos on and it looked like a nice powerful engine.
I think I'll be getting one for my cessna.

Forgot to mention that you will most likely need a starter to fire it up for the first time.
Like I mentioned I didn't spend much time running it so not sure if the starter is needed after the first starts.
I've seen it flipped start but probably was done after it was previously started and got fuel to the carb.
