Default Twin zenoah mounted vertical

I was wondering if it would be a problem running a zenoah twin vertical. Would the top cylinder run leaner than the bottom.

The engine doesn't know which way its mounted and with the carb at the rear of the engine, it probably could careless too. I dont know why you would want to mount an engine vertically, but it certainly can be done.

This is to address a vibration issue in a 1/3rd scale Albatros. I am sure the objective is to try to conceal as much of the engine as possible.

The Zenoah twins are about as smooth running as any gas model engine could possibly be. While these are not my favorite engines ( I own two) vibration is not one of their issues. And yes, they would run just fine in any position.

Yes vertical grimmace, I want to mount it vertical in my albatros. I currently run 4 of these motors in my other 1/3 scale planes. I have 3 more of these motors on my shelf. I love these motors.

Do you have an engine test stand you could try before mounting in your plane? That would confirm one way or the other. Sounds like a lot of good opinions here but not a lot of experience with what you are wanting to do.

Good plan. Never hurts to ask. Good luck, let us know how you do.
