Cyber, you are right, I should have used a sock like I did before. The top portion (stretch) part of a old sock.

Merry Christmas & a better New Year!

No, I haven't ran it yet but I can tell it has tons of compression since I got it back. I got it mounted back in the plane and plan to fly it this week some time. I will report when I get back with it.

Got two flights on the Mintor today. Ran great! This engine never had this kind of compression.
Thanks Richard!

It is going to get above freezing here in Michigan, so maybe I will get a chance to fly the Pro 260 with my Mintor 22cc engine. May need to pack the snow down with the 4x4 truck for a take off runway! Capt,n

The outdoor temps got close to 40 degrees. Problem though, the wind was very strong. Bad wind-chill.........

I forgot to say, the tape never melted & did not leave anything to speak of on the fin outer edges. I now have the stretchy part of a sock around the top portion of the jug. Capt,n

My Mintor 22cc engine was the very first one repaired by Richard aka Cyberwolf and what a success it has turned out to be. Since then he has successfully repaired several others of varing sizes, however many that own defective M engines are unaware that the service that he offers exists so in an effort to help our fellow modelers who might be in need of a quality repair service for their engines let us who are enjoying our brought back to life M engines help spread the word that there is life after death for Mintors.

Tried to get another flight on my M33 Saturday and the engine let go. Something inside the engine broke while taxiing onto the runway and I haven't taken it apart yet to see what the problem is. After all this time and money wasted, I am giving up and buying a different engine.

As we both know the lower end bearing was loose as a goose on that engine. It wouldn't suprise me any if it did let go.

Karol, this was a good day to run engines. I started up & ran 3 of them. The last one was my Mintor 22 cc engine. I have not run it in months & had to get the carb wet with a direct prime. It then started right up & after a 3-4 min warm-up it ran great. Now after hearing it run I want to fly. I will have my friend tack it. Best Regards to everyone. John

Hi John,

It's good to know that you got a chance to run your engines, hopefully the temperatures will warm up sufficiently so that you will get a chance to get in some flying.
