I am replacing my OS 75AX that I have on a Top Flight P-47 with a new OS GT15 gas engine. I have a JTEC in-cowl muffler on the 75AX and would like to use it on the OS GT15. It fits the new OS GT15 just fine but does anyone know if this muffler will work on the OS GT without causing any problems with the way it runs

Use it. Reset your needles after installation. The gas exhaust will be hotter, but not enough to harm the aluminum.

Thanks just wanted to make sure the OS GT15 will still run good with a after market muffler made for the 75AX

Yes it won't be a problem using the muffler. You may or may not have to change the needle setting. Hard to tell until you run the engine with it.

You're welcome! The only difference is the bolt pattern from one muffler to another. You do have a slightly larger engine so the muffler's internal capacity is a little lower, but resetting your needles should take care of that.

This is a JTEC in-cowl muffler for the OS 75AX. On their web page is say in will work on the OS 95AX and the OS GT15. I just wanted to make sure there was someone using this muffler with their OS GT15 and not having any problems. Thank You for your input.

Are you still using the NGH GT17? I have moved mine into a Great Planes Escapade and it is got fit for the plane. I am having an issue with it again. The engine seems to run fine for 5 minutes and then it just quites. I am down to rebuilding the carb to see if there is something wrong with it. This is why I got the OS GT15.
