Default carb overhaul

I have a g62 Weeks special I have had sitting around for 4 years. I renewed the tank and all lines and batteries.
I have a carb rebuild kit.
My question: Do I lube the parts when I put it together?

AKK! I had to replace two $100 servos. I didnt know hey would go bad just sitting

When I do a carb, I generally give everything a shot of WD-40 as I assemble it. It makes the carb "wet" which can help it pick up and draw fuel for the first time better, and it softens the gaskets a bit for a better seal. I only do this on carbs I am going to use right away though, as I don't know what the long term effects of the WD-40 might be on the carb components, though I doubt it would be a problem.

Just my way of doing it....

What happened to your servos? I've had servos sit for years and still work fine.

Dry assembly of the carb is fine but a little WD always helps get the pump going easier.
Regarding the servos and any other connection on the plane it is best to exercise all connections at all harness connectors to clean off the oxidation and insure proper connections , a little electronic cleaner sprayed in them won't hurt either
